A woman wore a wedding dress and ran nearly 300 miles to raise money for survivors of domestic violence.

Vanessa Riser spends two weeks in New York wearing a wedding dress that was supposed to marry a suspected abuser to raise money for a charity to help victims of domestic violence. I ran 285 miles.

She revealed that she was a victim of self-euphoric abuse and claimed that the abuser had padlocked her from her home.

After breaking her engagement and finding the courage to end the relationship, Ms. Riser was urged to meet her life coach and run later.

Some adjustments have been made to her original wedding dress to ensure she can run in it – the wiring has been removed from the bodice and the hem has been trimmed.

In the process, the hotel supported her efforts by allowing her and her team to stay free on a trip from the town of Oswego in northern New York to Manhattan.

Two weeks of jogging raised nearly $ 10,000 (more than £ 7,000) and she hopes to raise enough money to set up a center specifically for victims of this type of abuse.
