London, UK-The US market was closed due to Thanksgiving, so stock exchanges around the world spent the day virtually messing around with their thumbs.

The London FTSE 100 has added 0.33 percent. Germany’s Dax rose 0.22 percent and Paris-based Cac 40 rose 0.48 percent.

In the Asian marketIn Japan, the Nikkei 225 rose 196.62 points (0.67%) to 29,499.28.

All of Australia’s usual earned 11.40 points or 0.15 percent to reach 7,736.90.

The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong rose 54.66 points (0.22%) and closed at 24,740.16 on Thursday.

China’s Shanghai Composite Index fell 8.52 points (0.24%) to 3,584.18.

The US dollar has risen. The euro was stable again, but it was around 1.1209. The British pound fell to 1.3321 near the end of Thursday.

The Japanese yen fell to 115.36. The Swiss franc has fallen to 0.9359.

The Canadian dollar was slightly lower at 1.2651. The Australian dollar has fallen to 0.7187. The New Zealand dollar has fallen to 0.6860.
