Watch: Dave Grohl admits defeat in 10-year-old drum battle

November 20th – Dave Grohl has admitted defeat in a drum battle with 10-year-old Nandy Buschel.

51-year-old singer and musician said in an episode on Thursday Late show with Stephen Colbert The British preteen, Bushel, kicked his ass in their online drum battle.

After challenging Groll in a drum battle on social media, Buchelle became viral. The pair exchanged videos showing their drum skills and virtually met this month.

on Late showGroll recalled seeing Buchelle for the first time after he shared his video of playing the song “In Bloom” from his former band Nirvana, at the age of 10.

“She is 10 years old,” Groll said of Buchelle. “She’s small, and she’s just beating the crap from her drum set, and she screams when she rolls the drums,” he said. “What a hell, this kid is the power of nature.”

Buchelle later covered Groll’s band Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” and challenged Groll in a drum battle.

“I thought,’Okay, play something simple and send it to her,'” Groll recalled. “One day she replies and comes back and just wipes the floor … she’s kicking my ass! This kid is like kicking my ass with a drum Thing.”

“We went back and forth in this drum battle, and sometimes we’ve come to the point where we have to admit defeat,” he said.

Groll and Foo Fighters played their song “Shame Shame” Late show.. This song will appear on the band’s next 10th studio album. Midnight medicine, Scheduled to be released on February 5th.
