New York, November 24 (Xinhua)-The US dollar fell in late Tuesday trading as risk appetite improved in the market and demand for safe currencies was curtailed.
The dollar index against the six major peers fell 0.31% to 92.2249.
In the second half of New York trading, the euro rose from $ 1.1840 in the previous session to $ 1.1883 and the pound sterling rose from $ 1.3323 to $ 1.3352 in the previous session. The Australian dollar rose from $ 0.7289 to $ 0.7354.
The US dollar bought 104.56 yen, which is higher than 104.49 yen in the previous session. The US dollar fell from CHF 0.9122 to CHF 0.9119 and from CAD 1.3079 to CAD 1.3004.
The Dow surpassed $ 30,000 for the first time as high-risk assets, including US stocks, rebounded on Tuesday.
