Undertaker’s WWE Sayara was confused

this is Finally That’s for the Undertaker-and he deserved a better farewell.

After weeks of hype and expectations, WWE closed the Survivor Series on Sunday night, celebrating its 30th anniversary with the iconic Undertaker company and his retirement. The ceremony didn’t know what it wanted to be and sometimes seemed confusing, but it protected the character to the end. No Mark Karaway surprised us with the “Last Ride” documentary series and leads. Up to the Survivor Series.

Instead, Callaway, wearing full Undertaker gear, created a perfect Undertaker entrance, promoted a very short Undertaker, and said, “It’s time to rest the Undertaker in peace.” After that, it ends with a complete Undertaker strike. I felt this was almost the same as what I had seen before.

After losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, Undertaker left his coat and hat in the ring and kissed his wife Michelle McCool on the way, far more than he and WWE delivered here in about 30 minutes. I felt like a fascinating moment.

Certainly, there was a moment that appealed to me. It was a special feeling to see Vince McMahon counterattacking his emotions before introducing him in honor of The Undertaker. He called it “the end of the era” and “a career that is never duplicated.”

“Goodbye today,” McMahon said. “They say there’s nothing that will last forever. I think they’re wrong because the Undertaker’s legacy lives forever.”

The Undertaker knelt down and salutes the hologram of former manager Paul Bearer, who died in 2013, and was drawn to the heart. Even Taker had to stop several times before saying goodbye. Other than that, the fact that the Undertaker broke his personality frequently these days and the whole mess, rush, and feeling out of step.

WWE has brought many of Undertaker’s close friends and behind-the-scenes members of Bourne Street Crew Creek, including Saviovega, Godwinds, JBL, Rikishi, and The Godfather, along with those who spent his greatest moments at Kevin Nash’s Ric Flair. I called it back. , Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Shane McMahon and Triple H. Kane are also available in full costumes! They all appeared together in the ring (not even in the best practices of all coronaviruses that did not follow) and interacted with each other. Later, 15 men disappeared when WWE played a video tribute to The Undertaker. They have never interacted with him. When the camera returned to the arena, we saw McMahon (who didn’t get the entrance) in the ring ourselves.

There had to be a better way to use these legends. Have him go around the ring when the Undertaker comes in, or wait for him to applaud and retire on stage. Everything was better than what we got. The Undertaker didn’t even know their existence in his remarks. Interacting with someone like Bray Wyatt in “The Fiend” wouldn’t have been wise if this were true.

It was as if WWE wanted to ignore the fact that they and the Undertaker allowed us to see the fascinating real person behind the character for months. If he hadn’t done that, what happened on Sunday night would have made perfect sense. However, he was also photographed by People magazine cooking in the kitchen with his family. Let’s hear from the man as well as the character.

I think they wanted a moment when the character wrote himself down from the TV and kept the Undertaker bigger than life in WWE’s wrestling program. But that’s not how wrestling retirement should work. It’s time for the person to finally tell the audience how they feel. It must be the performer, not the character, to say goodbye. The Undertaker’s final image was that he ran off on his bike after the “Boneyard” match at WrestleMania 36. That was terrible.

Also, I didn’t have to rush to “final farewell.” Let the Undertaker see the moment in front of real live fans. Fans have to wait until his final WWE Hall of Fame. He had to settle for Thunder Dome’s virtual fans. Instead, we were certainly left with something that hits nostalgia everywhere, but couldn’t offer anything deeper than that.

None of them take away what the legacy Undertaker left behind. He is the greatest character in wrestling history and one of the best ever to walk between ropes. The Sunday night Survivor Series finally seemed to bring a perfect circle close to his career.

He deserved a better farewell.
