According to police, the woman and her 13-year-old daughter were shot in Bronx’s Bodega the moment a dog walker was shot just a few blocks away.
A 46-year-old woman and her teenage daughter were at a convenience store in Southern Boulevard. According to police officers, around 8:45 pm, near Jennings Street when a dispute arose outside the street.
Police said the conflict escalated, fired on the streets, and moved to Bodega.
The 13-year-old girl was shot in her hand and her mother had a scratch on her chest. Both | are taken to Jacobi Hospital, where they are expected to recover.
Police officers said they were looking for two men on bicycles. It wasn’t immediately clear who the bullet was intended for.
Meanwhile, just four blocks away, almost at the same time, a 22-year-old woman was walking her dog on Bristol and Jennings Street. She suddenly felt pain in her leg, police said. When she looked down at her, she noticed that she was shot with her left foot.
She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and was in a stable condition.
Police rushing to the scene of both cases were investigating whether the shooting was involved.
There was no immediate arrest.
