Two prisoners fleeing a Tennessee prison captured in Florida

Two men, armed and deemed dangerous, were arrested in southern Florida after escaping a Tennessee prison, officials said.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee, Robert Lee Brown and Christopher Ostine fled prison and detained two men before being captured by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service. Was done.

According to Florida’s Local 10 News, Brown and Osteen were in a stolen pickup when they were discovered around 8 pm.

Both men fled on foot and were arrested shortly thereafter.

It was unclear how the man escaped on Friday morning, but after a while he was kidnapped from a boat ramp on the Mississippi River and took off by car.

“From the statements of the blindfolded victims, it was believed that another vehicle was taken to the fugitive in an unknown location,” said the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

The man found a second victim in Paris, Tennessee late Friday night and tied him up before stealing a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

Brown, 36, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for worsening rape. A 34-year-old male teen was sentenced to eight years in prison for robbery, reckless assault, and theft.

They were both detained by the Tennessee Department of Corrections on Sunday night.
