Two brothers killed in Bronx shooting

new york — A memorial service was held on Tuesday for the two brothers who died in the Bronx shooting last week.

Lovers, neighbors and community members released balloons into the sky to remember Jeremiah Smith, 24, and Debren Smith, 37.

Two suspects were killed when police said they fired several shots outside a fast food restaurant on East Tremont Avenue on Friday afternoon.

“Our families were broken, our spirits were broken, but our strength, our strength, is why we can stand here.” I have a son to raise, he’s 6 months old and he’s spewing images of his father and uncle.”

Two suspects were arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder and manslaughter.

Two others were injured in the shooting. They are expected to be OK.
