Trevor Noah Hosts 2021 Grammy Awards Trevor Noah New York Comedian AP Grammy Awards

The Recording Academy made the announcement hours before the next show candidates were announced. This is the first time Noah has hosted the Grammy Awards on January 31st.

Earlier this year, Noah competed for his first Grammy Award. The 36-year-old Emmy Award winner was nominated for Best Comedy Album for “Son of Patricia” but lost to Dave Chappelle.

“I’m very disappointed that the Grammys refused to sing me or be nominated for the best pop album, but I’m excited to host this auspicious event.” Noah said in a statement. “I’ve been nominated for a Grammy Award only once, so I know the pain of not winning, so I think it’s the perfect person to compete with all the great artists who won’t win at night (this). Is a figurative shoulder, I’m not trying to catch Corona). See you at the 63rd Grammy Awards! “

Alicia Keys was the host of the latest Grammy Awards. Past hosts include James Corden and LL Cool J.
