Three people crashed and died near the catering hall in New Hyde Park. 22-year-old driver arrested and charged

Police said three people were killed and several were injured in a crash near New Hyde Park (WABC) -Long Island’s catering hall on Long Island.

The crash occurred on Saturday at around 11:10 pm at Jericho Turnpike near the Catering Hall Inn in New Hyde Park.

According to police, a 22-year-old man driving a 2012 Mercedes-Benz attacked the 2010 Lincoln Town Car with a driver and five passengers in the east-facing lane of Turnpike.

Three female passengers behind Lincoln were declared dead on the scene.

The driver and two other passengers were taken to a local hospital due to an injury and are currently listed in a stable condition.

As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Dan Terenon was arrested by Freeport, a Mercedes-Benz driver.

He was charged with three charges: vehicle slaughter, vehicle assault, and drunk driving.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

He will appear in court as soon as medically possible.

Crash investigation is ongoing.
