These three NBA free agents may be on the Knicks radar

Here are three names to look at when the NBA’s free agent opens:

Gordon Hayward

He was at the pace of becoming a perennial all-star before smashing his legs at the 2017 Celtics debut. He is still a good passerby, a 3-point shooter, averaging 17 points in 50% of the shots from the field in 2019-20. Knicks Assistant GM drafted him from Butler while he was with Jazz. “He’s still a multi-skilled player, despite his injuries slowing him down,” said one scout.

DJ Augustin

Knicks needs a starting point guard, and a 32-year-old Journeyman can provide enough service with a cheap $ 5 million a year deal. He is a 3-point shooter with a 38% career. He’s too small to bounce back to eight teams, more recently Orlando. Augustin played the best ball in Chicago in 2013-14 under Tom Thibodeau of Knicks.

Carmelo Anthony

Former Knicks superstar is now a more solid role player, reviving his career in Portland last season, averaging 15 points with 43% shots. Rookie Obadiah Toppin was able to learn the wonders from Melo, but his ex-agent, Leon Rose, wants him a discount with the exception of the $ 5 million room. If they land in Hayward, it’s no use.
