The star stops the flames and sends the series to Calgary’s Round 7

Miro Heiskanen scored a winning goal and host Dallas Stars scored a 4-2 victory at Home Ice on Friday against Calgary Flames in the first round series of the Western Conference.

Lope Hintz and Michael Raffle each have goals and assists, and Tyler Sigin has added an empty net tally for the Stars. Jake Ottiger made 36 saves to win.

Michael Stone scored one goal and one assist, and Michael Bucklund also scored the Frames. Jacob Markstrom stopped 36 shots.

Game 7 will be Sunday in Calgary.

After seeing the 2-0 lead disappear, the star reorganized and regained the edge with 2:28 remaining in the second period. Shots from Heiskanen’s high slots went through the maze of the first player in the series to become a 3-2 game.

Segin closed the victory with 42 seconds remaining in the third period.

Hintz started scoring 14:52 in the first period. A few seconds after Otti’s chance to deny Johnny Godrow, the Stars reversed the puck. Joe Pavelsky left a drop pass from the face-off dot on the left to Hintz who filled the shot for the second goal in the series.

Raffle doubled his lead at 6:04 in the second period. Joel Kibilanta fought Oliver Kirington for a puck at Calgary’s Blue Line, but was rejected by Markstrom. However, Raffle pushed his loose pack home for the second goal of the playoffs.

Stone gave the flame a very necessary impact after 2 minutes. Gordrow led the 3 to 1 rush and sent Stone a pass to turn towards the first goal of the playoffs.

Backlund’s third tally in many games led to a clash at 11:59 in the second period. Just as the power play was over, Buckland sent a one-time from the circle on the right, which Otti stopped, but it bounced off the defender and entered the net.

Flame also took a huge roster hit. Defensive Christopher Tanev left the game before the midpoint after awkwardly collapsing in a collision when Raffle scored.
