The number of active US drilling rigs will decrease this week

Houston, November 20 (Xinhua)-Houston-based oilfield services company released weekly data on Friday that the number of active drilling rigs in the United States fell by two this week to 310 rigs the previous year. The ratio decreased by 493. Baker Hughes.

During the week, the number of drilling rigs increased the most in New Mexico to 55 rigs.

The Permian Basin in western Texas and eastern New Mexico has been the driving force behind supply growth outside OPEC over the past few years and is the largest source of growth for shale oil production in the United States.

The United States has been a globally important oil producer in the last few years with the help of growing shale oil production. Meanwhile, China remains one of the largest oil consumers in the world.

China’s crude oil production rose 1.4% year-on-year to 16.41 million tonnes in October, according to the latest announcement from the National Bureau of Statistics of China. China imported 42.56 million tonnes of crude oil a month, down 6.5% year-on-year.
