Aquebogue, NY (WABC)-A large bounty has been offered for information that could lead to arrest after a cat was found shot on Long Island on Monday.

According to Suffolk County SPCA, a cat was found injured near Southfields Road and West Lane in Aquebogue.

A male cat named Abraham was taken to a veterinary clinic by his rescuer, where it was determined that the cat was shot with pellets that remained on his spine.

SPCA and Strong Island Rescue are offering a $ 4,000 bounty for information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect who caused the attack.
