Skier’s body The person who went missing at Christmas Officials said he was found on a weekend a few miles away from a resort in the Lake Tahoe area where he disappeared on a ski trip.

According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Rory Angelotta was found near a residential area in the town of Truckee, about 5 km from the North Star Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe, California.

Officials said Angelotta may have been trying to secure the neighborhood after being involved in one of the storms that struck the area in December.

“When Angelotta succumbed to the element, he may have been trying to find a neighborhood near Truckee,” officials said.

Authorities said the county coroner would determine the exact cause of death.

Friends reported that he went missing shortly before 10 pm on December 25, when he didn’t show up for Christmas dinner after telling them he was going skiing.

In six days, more than 200 people searched for Angelotta using skis, snowmobiles and helicopters.

Officials said Rory Angelotta may have been trying to secure the neighborhood after being involved in the storm.

Angelotta’s family thanked the investigators through the sheriff’s office.

“The Angelotta family was impressed by the overwhelming prayer and support during this very difficult time and would like to personally thank everyone who accompanied and supported the search for the past two weeks. “Masu,” said the family.
