Texas Amber Alert: Joanna Luna Kidnapped in San Antonio

A Texas Amber Alert has been issued for Joanna Luna, a 13-year-old girl believed to have been kidnapped in San Antonio more than two months ago, local officials say. We recommend that you call 119 immediately.

Joanna was last seen at 2:50 am on August 20 at block 11700 of Springdale Drive in San Antonio. It wasn’t immediately clear why it took her over two months to issue a yellow alert for the missing girl.

The suspect was identified as Richard “Xavier” Rodriguez, a 17-year-old Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. The nature, if any, of his relationship with Joanna was not immediately clear.

Richard and Joanna are believed to be driving a U-Haul with Arizona license plate number AE4438.

No specific details have been released regarding the circumstances of Joanna’s disappearance. A spokesman for the San Antonio Police Department said on Oct. 1 that Joanna had a medical condition requiring “urgent care.”

Joanna is a 13-year-old Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark gray T-shirt, black and pink Nike shorts, and pink and purple slides.

Anyone who sees Joanna, Richard, or the suspect’s vehicle should call 911 immediately or call the San Antonio Police Department at (210) 207-7660 if there is any other information that may assist the investigation. Recommended.
