Taxi driver shot twice and found dead in a parking lot at a catering hall in Westchester County

New Rochelle, Westchester County (WABC)-Early Thursday, an off-duty taxi driver was found dead in the parking lot of a catering hall in Westchester County.

According to police, a 62-year-old victim working in an Express City taxi was shot twice outside Giuliano’s caterer on New Rochelle’s main street.

The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital where he was sentenced to death.

A taxi service colleague said the victim finished the shift at 2:40 am and his car was still running on the scene hours later.

Taxi companies park their cars along the wall adjacent to the catering hall.

The investigation is active and ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the New Rochelle police at 914-654-2300.

It will be released as more information becomes available.
