Officials said the city’s largest charter school network requires all high school students to have a vaccine or a weekly COVID-19 test.

The City Board of Education tests 10 percent of unvaccinated children at each school each week.

Between September 13 and 26, a total of 1,535 city students and 686 staff tested positive for the coronavirus.

Children aged 5 to 11 years are not yet vaccinated.
