Stephen King ridicules the Yankees with a “memo” to Rob Manfred

Stephen King knows it when he sees a horror show.

Famous writers and enthusiastic Red Sox fans certainly enjoyed the Yankees’ nightmare weekend at Fenway Park. He jokingly wrote a note to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred after the Red Sox wiped out the Yankees from Boston.

“Is it possible to play the Yankees for the rest of the year?” King asked on Twitter on Monday..

The Red Sox beat the Yankees 18-7 across the three-game series. On Sunday, the Yankees desperately tried to avoid the sweep, and Boston tagged a six-run ace Gerrit Cole in the first three innings.

Back in the last season, the Red Sox broke through the Yankees seven times in a row, turning the sport’s best rivals into a one-sided event. But for King, the end of New York is nothing but music that he can hear.
