Shooting at Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse, New York

Police are investigating the shooting at the Destiny USA shopping mall in Syracuse, N.Y., officials and witnesses say.
The incident occurred at 4:12 p.m. Friday, when police were called in for shootings that occurred near Five Below and Cinnabon. One shopper, a 22-year-old woman, said she heard what sounded like two gunshots.
“This is not an active shooter. No known injuries,” Syracuse Police said in a short statement on social media.
Police said the suspect fired at least one shot at a trash can, which may have been a threatening act after getting into a fight with other people at the mall. No one was injured.
Initial reports of shootings led to a lockdown, which was lifted shortly after police determined the threat was over. “If you are in Destiny USA, please evacuate as it will be closed for the night,” police said.
