Wilson completed 23 of the 28 passes at 197 yards and threw two touchdowns in the first half with a 28-21 victory in Seattle on Thursday.
“This victory goes into the preparatory column,” Wilson told reporters. “We did the incredible job of getting ready for them and getting ready to play soccer.”
Seattle has reduced Arizona, the NFL’s best raid, to just 57 yards above the ground.
Seahawks defensive end Carlos Dunlap has fired Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray twice. Dunlap’s final sack ended the game with only 38 seconds left when the Cardinals were at Seattle’s 27-yard line, four downs.
“We did what we had to do to close the game,” Dunlap said.
Wilson performed a 12-play, 75-yard touchdown drive on the game’s first possession. He finished the drive with a 25-yard touchdown toss to DK Met Calf.
Arizona and Seattle exchanged punts on the next four drives, after which the Cardinals repelled Kenyan Drake, scoring a one-yard rush touchdown.
Wilson then led the 10-play, 75-yard drive, giving the Seahawks a 13-7 lead. He ended his possession with a touchdown throw of 11 yards at Tyler Rocket 8:32 before halftime.
Seahawks kicker Jason Myers expired in the first half, adding a 27-yard field goal and giving Seattle a 16-7 lead.
The Cardinals were the first to own in the second half and bounced off with an 11-play, 56-yard touchdown drive. Murray completed a four-yard touchdown toss to Dan Arnold and finished the drive with a score of 16-14.
Carlos Hyde recorded a Seattle 2-yard rush touchdown with his next possession before the Cardinals responded with a 15-play, 105-yard touchdown drive.
Murray ended his long possession with a 3-yard touchdown pass to run back Chase Edmons to a score of 23-21.
The Seahawks pushed the lead to four points when the Cardinals inflicted a holding penalty in their end zone for safety at 9:18 on the final frame.
Seattle then scored another Myers field goal, pushing the advantage to 28-21 with 2:24 remaining.
Murray and Cardinals then marched towards Seattle’s 27-yard line with their next possession, and Dunlap took Murray to the grass to end the game.
Murray completed 29 out of 42 passes at 269 yards and lost two goals. Hyde made 16 touchdowns in Seattle, 95 yards from Scrimmage.
“It was never a clean game,” Murray said. “We need to be better.”
The Seahawks (7-3) will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia at 8:15 pm EST on November 30th. Cardinals (6-4) will fight the New England Patriots at 1:00 pm EST on November 29 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
