Reunion of the “Sopranos” cast for firefighter fundraising in New York

Don’t stop believing.

Thirteen years after the Fade to Black series finale became a hot topic all over the world, The Sopranos is back. On Friday, the cast will meet again to raise money for New York firefighters.

The live event will fund the Friends of Firefighters, a non-profit organization founded in the wake of the 9/11 incident, to provide counseling and support to retired firefighters and their families.

Tragically, virtual events cannot include James Gandolfini, who died of a 51-year-old heart attack in 2013, but Lorraine Bracco, Steve Schirripa, Edie Falco, Michael Imperioli, Robert Iler, Drea, etc. Numerous casts and creators will participate de Matteo, Tim Van Patten, Steve Schirripa, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Maureen Van Zandt, Steven Van Zandt, creator David Chase, and writer Terence Winter.

There is also a reading of a new sketch written by Chase and Winter.

The pioneering mob drama aired on HBO between 1999 and 2007 won a whopping 21 Emmy Awards, leading a new era of antiheroes and a golden age of television.

The world of “The Sopranos” will be revisited in the prequel movie “Many Saints of Newark” starring Alessandro Nivola, Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Ray Liotta and Michael Gandolfini’s son Michael Gandolfini. After being delayed by the pandemic, “Many Newark Saints” will be released in March.

The two-hour reunion event will air on Friday at 7:00 pm on funding platform Tiltify.
