Republican group urges Wisconsin to block voting certification

November 25th – Republicans in Wisconsin have filed a lawsuit in the state’s Supreme Court seeking to block proof of election results alleging that tens of thousands of illegal votes have been taken.

The lawsuit filed on Tuesday on behalf of the Wisconsin Voter Alliance was funded by a nonprofit organization affiliated with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and voted absentee in Wisconsin. He claims that there was a “systematic effort” to circumvent the law and vote illegally.

President-elect Joe Biden won the state with 20,608 votes against incumbent President Donald Trump, but court documents show that the number of illegal votes far exceeds that margin.

According to court documents, 156,807 votes are illegal, of which 96,000 were cast by electors who “evaded Wisconsin’s voter ID law by absentee ballot.”

Approximately 14,400 votes were “in the name of a registered Republican, requested by someone other than that person,” and an additional 12,000 votes were uncounted Republican ballots.

Plaintiffs argue that the election results should be declared invalid and that the presidential elector’s choice should “return to the state legislature.”

Republican groups have previously failed to block the technology and civil life center connected to Zuckerberg from providing $ 6.3 million to five cities in Wisconsin to support the election process in a coronavirus pandemic. did.

The proceedings were filed because recounting was underway in Dane and Milwaukee counties, where Trump ordered the campaign at a cost of $ 3 million.
