A new York Police officers were killed and injured after responding to a call for domestic violence on Friday night, law enforcement officials said.

The suspect was also killed in the shootings in Harlem, he was not allowed to speak publicly, said officials on condition of anonymity.

Officials said the call came after 5 pm when the mother needed her son’s help. Three police officers responded to the apartment on the first floor. After talking to their mother in the previous room, two police officers went to the back room with their son and the ammunition rang, officials said.

Mayor Eric Adams was in the hospital where police officers were taken after the shooting. This is the third time a police officer has faced a shooting at work in four days.
