NYC robbery robs a woman and returns her to sexual assault

Police said Sunday that a vicious beast robbed a woman on the streets of Brooklyn and returned to sexual assault minutes later.

The tragic attack occurred around 2 am on Friday, when a 54-year-old victim stood outside the buildings on St. Marks Avenue and East New York Avenue in Crown Heights.

The perpetrator, who was driving a dark SUV, approached her and asked her if she needed a ride, police said. Her girlfriend declined, he got out of her car, hit her in her stomach, and took her purse before her escape, police said.

According to police, the victim began walking west on St. Marks Avenue, a few blocks towards her home, and then a relentless attacker reappeared on his SUV.

He went out, sexually assaulted her near St. Marks and Howard Avenue, and then fled again, police said.

The victim went to Brookdale Hospital for treatment the following Saturday.

Police describe the suspect as a man with brown eyes, a mustache, short black hair, about 185 pounds, and a dark complexion of about 5 feet-8 to 5 feet -10. He wore a black baseball cap, blue jeans and a T-shirt.

Police officers on Sunday released a sketch of the suspect, asking anyone with information to call the crime stopper at (800) 577-TIPS.
