New York Crime: A 14-year-old boy shot dead in Harlem was identified

Harlem, Manhattan (WABC)-Police have identified a 14-year-old boy who was shot dead in Harlem on Tuesday afternoon.

Justin Streeter in Plainfield, NJ was shot in the head on East 128th Street, just east of Park Avenue.

Police received a call to fire Just before 4:30 pm on Tuesday..

The police officer who arrived found the striker with the 15-year-old boy being shot in the foot. He is expected to survive.

It remains a mystery why the teens were shot and who triggered it.

But neighbors say it’s part of a disturbing pattern.

“When I was 14 and 15, no one had a gun,” a man told Eyewitness News. “We only saw the gun on TV.”
“The area has been aggressively violent for years,” another said. “I’ve been in the area for about nine years. The economy is stagnant and the community is in rebellion.”

Police admit how bad it was.

“But what about your parents? What about your family? What about your grandmother here?” Said Jeffrey Madrid, NYPD Patrol Chief. “This is terrible and you shouldn’t have to suffer from the violence of this gun. Newyork is much better.

The investigation will be conducted when Mayor Eric Adams is being convened. Mayor Summit against Illegal GunsJoin forces with other cities to discuss common strategies for combating gun violence.

Meanwhile, the search for the suspect continues.

It is unknown if the victim knew the shooter, but police believe it was the targeted incident.

They seek the help of the masses for any information.
