New Murdoch Center unveiled to celebrate nonprofit’s 75th anniversary

The American-Australian Association opened its new Manhattan headquarters on Tuesday night in a star-studded event celebrating the nonprofit’s 75th anniversary.th anniversary.
News Corp Chairman Rupert Murdoch and other celebrities attended the unveiling of the Murdoch Center.
The headquarters serves as a cultural center and meeting place to support the association’s mission of promoting stronger ties between the United States and Australia.
“I remember my father starting the American-Australian Association 75 years ago. This new bilateral relationship has become important,” Murdoch said. “And what was true then is fully applicable now, as the world faces many historical challenges, including the rise of a belligerent China. play a key role in creating graduate scholarships for talented young researchers.
The opening event was also attended by Murdoch’s son, Fox Chairman Lachlan, US Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy, Australian Ambassador to the US Arthur Sinodinos and Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt.
“Lastly, it means a lot to me that Lachlan was here today to share this important moment and continue the family tradition,” said Elder Murdoch. “So thank you all for what you have done for the Society and what you will surely do for the two countries I call home, Australia and the United States.”
The Murdoch Center, located at 600 Third Avenue in Manhattan, hosts business roundtables and conferences for American and Australian companies, showcases the work of the Association’s grantees, and provides resources for newly arrived Australians. perform functions such as
