Mike Tyson listens to Roy Jones Jr.’s cake before the show

While others enjoyed primarily turkey and stuffing on Thursday, Mike Tyson’s holiday meal featured a tribute to his most notorious moments in the ring.

Tyson and his family ate a cake in the shape of Jones’ head while preparing for a comeback exhibition battle with Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday night.

Former heavyweight champions cut and eat the “ears” of the cake, referring to the 1997 match that chopped the ears of their opponent Evander Holyfield.

“The taste is much better than Evander,” the former heavyweight champion said in a YouTube video titled “Thanksgiving with Tyson’s.”

Tyson also called Jones a “turkey” for the holiday spirit, and later posted a photo of the cake left on his dog’s Martian dog plate on Instagram.

Saturday’s eight-round exhibition battle is the first time 54-year-old Tyson has participated in a licensed match ring since another exhibition with Corrie Sanders in 2006. His last professional fight was TKO’s defeat to Kevin McBride the previous year.

Tyson is reported to receive $ 10 million in an expected pay-per-view event for 52-year-old Jones, a former world champion of four weight classes.
