Melora Hardin talks about the “bold type” finale and looks back on Jacqueline’s legacy

The “Bold Type” ends on Wednesday’s final episode, leaving behind the legacy of empowering women (and Iconic fashion) After that. Melora Hardin says goodbye to her beloved series and her iconic character boss woman, reflecting the impact of the appearance of a person like Jacqueline Carlyle on the screen.

Five seasons later, Hardin’s most proud moment on the show is Season 1’s finale, “Carry the Weight.” Here it is revealed that Jacqueline is a survivor of sexual assault at work. This episode first aired in September 2017, just before the #MeToo movement appeared.

“I love it many times at the show. We’re a little ahead and we’re really talking about a very important and timely issue,” Hardin said. “I think it will be relevant for a really long time.”

“We really, really, really worked hard to maintain the show’s wonderful, realistic, yet ideal and ambitious quality, so we wanted to satisfy the audience. “Hardin said.

“I think it’s a happy ending. Not everything is perfectly tied with a perfect bow, but you’ll be happy with all the solutions.”

The “The Bold Type” series finale will air on Wednesday, June 30th at 10pm ET / PT. Freeform CT at 9pm, Hulu the next day.
