Mayor Eric Adams Approves Hybrid Schedule for Pilot Program for Select City Employees

New York City (WABC) — Thousands of city employees will be able to work from home twice a week under a deal Mayor Eric Adams signed with the city’s largest public sector union.
DC37’s telework pilot begins this month and will run until at least May 2025.
This policy does not apply to people who cannot work remotely.
The mayor had previously resisted calls from city officials for a hybrid schedule.
Union agencies must submit a list of workers eligible for the hybrid schedule to the city, after which the mayor’s office must approve each participant.
At least 30 government agencies are expected to participate in the pilot program.
