A representative of Puerto Rico’s San Juan-reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny said Monday that the singer had tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The announcement was made the day after the musician won the American Music Awards for his favorite male Latin artist and his favorite Latin album for “YHLQM DLG.”

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Martinez Ocasio, was scheduled to sing Jai Cortez and his hit “Dakiti” at the event, but was canceled without explanation and disappointed many fans. However, the singer remotely awarded a prize to her favorite Latin female artist.

It is unknown if Bad Bunny was showing symptoms of COVID-19. His spokeswoman did not immediately return a message for comment.

Islamabad-Pakistan will close all educational institutions again as of Thursday as cases of coronavirus are steadily and increasingly dramatically increasing.

The school opened in September as Pakistan seemed to have achieved sustained curve flattening.

Although the number of cases per day has dropped to less than 300, few people wear masks and there is little social distance in a country of 220 million.

Pakistan has recorded 2,756 new cases in the last 24 hours. This is one of the fastest surges since the outbreak began in March. There were 376,929 confirmed cases in the country, and 7,696 people died from the virus.
