New York City – After six seasons on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” co-host Ryan Seacrest is bidding farewell to ABC’s morning talk show.

It’s a bittersweet moment for fans of the show who have watched Seacrest and Lipa form a special bond and share unforgettable moments with viewers since joining as co-hosts in 2017.

“Kelly turned the corner and said, ‘Maybe because I am,'” Seacrest said after walking the stage for the last time as an official co-host.

Kelly’s husband, actor Mark Consuelos, will settle into Ryan’s chair starting Monday, April 17.

When Ryan announced his upcoming departure back in februaryhe told viewers that he was leaving to focus on American Idol and other projects.

Kelly and the ‘Live’ team gave Ryan a proper send-off a few days earlier, ending the week with a special show on Friday, with Dr. Jill Biden joining as a special guest to celebrate Ryan’s final day as co-host. Dr. Biden also talks about April being the official month for military children.

In addition to the historic visit by the First Lady of the United States, the special farewell episode will feature surprises and retrospectives on Ryan’s time as co-host of LIVE, the #1 entertainment talk show on television.

And rest assured that this won’t be the last time Ryan will be seen “live”.
