By joining the Tigers staff, Brown and former player Hardaway will meet again 15 years later. They became acquainted during the 2005-06 season when Brown coached Hardaway as a member of Knicks.

South Methodist Mustangs head coach Larry Brown will be on the sidelines, while Knicks head coach Mike Woodson will sit in the background in the second half of the NIT University Basketball Championship semifinals.
