Junior Sanchez celebrates freedom with this inspiring selection of music

JUNIOR SANCHEZ cut his teeth at a club in New York and perfected his technique at Big Apple.

He is one of Clubland’s most prolific artists, constantly rocking the world of house music with his eclectic and unpredictable palette of sounds.

Releases from the biggest taste maker labels for dance music such as Defected, Strictly Rhythm and Nervous, to name a few, he includes Madonna, Gorillaz, Jamiroquai, Azealia Banks, Casius and Ariana Grande. We also have an impressive list of artist production remix credits.

His new single, Freedom, is another infectious hipshake powerhouse release featuring Charlie Vox’s vocal talent, which combines a funky bassline with an uplifting trumpet.

Look for a remix that the exiled Queen Sam Divine will soon drop.

We caught up with Junior this week and he spoke to us through inspirational music playlists.

System-do not disturb this groove

Ooft !! I love this song every time I play it, so I’m going here … play it while driving in the summer. Instead of bobbing my head as soon as the bass hits, I’ll try to make a funk-smelling face!

Manuel Göttching-E2-E4 (Full Length Version)

This is a great record to start the after-part and just chill people to keep the atmosphere right when the sunrise or cocktail is flowing. Even if you’re alone on the island, this track gives you that euphoric exotic feel. Previously I had to turn the vinyl over. It used to be 30 minutes on one side of the record, but now it’s being streamed repeatedly.

Ramsey Lewis, Earth, Wind & Fire-Sun Goddess

Every time I play this song, everything goes well. It’s like the world is just tuned to the right frequency and it’s all connected. Another vibe record that connects with your soul every time.

Idris Muhammad-Heaven could be like this

The after-party mix continues this classic that many have tried to start over, but doesn’t mention anything about this original masterpiece. It’s like a heavenly soundtrack when you enter.

Donna Summer-Could It Be Magic

This song is pure magic. Written by Barry Manilow, this song touches every corner of your heart’s melodic desires, and it pervades everything.

Urban Soul-Perfect

This record will be my all time list. When I was a teenager, this was my go-to record of dancing in a circle, and I danced a lot. This track is an original house record and a lost jewel. In my opinion, Roland Clark is a very talented singer-songwriter and producer. I love him and his contributions to the culture. I’m proud to call him a friend, but I’ve always been his biggest fan. ..

Crystal Waters-Gypsy Woman (she is homeless)

What can you say about this song that hasn’t been said yet? That is, we were about 20 odd years later, and this record still resonates and is discovered many times by a new generation of househeads. I first heard this record when I skipped school and went home and listened to John Robinson’s noon mic at WBLS in New York. When I heard this, my overall view of house music changed, so I’ll never forget it. It’s like “good music on the radio”, and since then Crystal and I have been friends and love her from the bottom of my heart. She has a new label and I recorded a song with her.

Bernard Wright-Who do you love

One of my favorite jams. Bernard is a crazy and talented musician, underrated, but a beast of keyboard players. This is pure fire.

New Order-Confused

This is a straight classic! So this video with the 80’s New York band Arthur Baker is a true picture of what the city was like at the time. Baker produced this record and many other original tracks. The video has a point where the band and AB go to the funhouse, and you can see Jelly Beans Venetian DJing the track on a 0.5 inch open reel. Magical thing.

Enchanted – You don’t think it’s time (dance mix)

Well, many househeads probably don’t know that Todd Terry started making freestyle music. That’s what we call the “Latin Freestyle” Alla Joyce Simms. In the meantime he has produced many classics such as “Colo”, “Giggles” … the list continues. I’ve always known that he’s making these records because of his distinctive drum style and snare. Everyone who makes these types of records is usually light on drums, but Todd is as heavy as f * # and sounds like gold.
