Harlem City Councilman Christine Jordan Richardson has remained silent about developer Bruce Teitelbaum’s new proposal to build One 45, a $700 million apartment project on Lenox Avenue at West 145th Street.
Richardson’s office said it was “working on a statement” to respond, but did not say when it would be ready.
Richardson Famous for refusing to support Teitelbaum’s plans 915 new apartments will be built on an underutilized site.
Richardson did not support the project, claiming there were not enough affordable units.

Teitelbaum withdrew its rezoning proposal last year.
Teitelbaum now plans to resume the rezoning process. His letter to Richardson about what he now calls “One45 Harlem For ALL” put her on the spot. Teitelbaum invited members of the council to “participate in a direct discussion without preconditions, ultimatums or rigid demands.”
