Mark Colombo was fired just as the Giants’ attack line began to improve.
Giants has replaced Colombo with Dave Du Guglielmo, first reported by the NFL Network and confirmed by The Post. Giants coach Joe Judge interviewed both Duggliermo and Colombo during the off-season and welcomed the first staff with Colombo, who came from the Dallas Cowboys with attack coordinator Jason Garrett.
Rookie left a tackle Andrew Thomas got off to a disastrous start but began to improve. The Giants take turns playing seven aggressive linemen (three guards and three centers).
DuGuglielmo was the Giants’ assistant offensive line coach from 2004 to 2008 and has traveled the NFL, including a stop at the Jets in 2012 and more recently at the Dolphins last season.
