World Gatka Federation Holds International Gatka Seminar on July 23 in New Jersey

Chandigarh, July 21: The World Gatka Federation, the supreme international governing body of the Gatka Games, will host the 1st International Gatka Seminar on Sunday 23rd July at Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Sahib in Glen Rock, New Jersey, USA. Separately, the US Gatka Federation, in partnership with the World Gatka Federation, will host a Gatka refresher course for referees and coaches on Saturday, July 22 at the Baba Makkan Shah Lubana Sikh Center in South Richmond Hill, NY.

Passing on this information, World Gatka Federation President Harjeet Singh Gulwal, General Secretary Deep Singh and US Gatka Federation President Dara Singh said the Gatka Seminar will be held in collaboration with the International Sikh Martial Arts Council and the US Gatka Federation. The theme is how the Gatka game can help with self-defense, women’s empowerment, and substance abuse prevention.

They announced that this international seminar will be held in collaboration with the Gurudwara Glen Rock Board of Trustees and Gatka experts will highlight the role of Gatka on various topics from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. They called on all Gatka players and Sangat to participate in both programs.
