Foreign investors sell Chinese bonds amid Taiwan tensions, yuan weakness

Foreign investors slashed their Chinese bond holdings by another $5.1 billion in August, the month marked by the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosiof visit to taiwan When Surprise rate cut Aid by Beijing to help the stagnant economy.

Global investors have reduced their exposure to renminbi bonds for the seventh month in a row. They have reduced their ownership of these bonds by more than $85 billion, according to data from China Central Depository & Clearing Co. and Shanghai Clearing House.
