According to officials, a Florida mother appeared in her daughter’s junior high school with boxing gloves and attacked her students.
Edith Riddle, 34, from Jacksonville, was arrested last week on charges of child abuse due to a beating at DuPont Middle School. News station KVUE reported..
Police said school safety officials heard a “desperate” announcement via the school’s radio system about the fight outside the cafeteria around noon on March 18.
When the police arrived there, he found Riddle physically replaced by a female student.
Riddle was on campus for a meeting with the Vice-Principal and her daughter, police said.
According to police, the daughter created a beeline to fight the girl in the cafeteria instead of leaving the building.
Witnesses told police that Riddle’s daughter pushed the girl and threw some punches. The mother is also said to have begun to attack the victims.
Oddly, bystanders told authorities that the mother appeared to be wearing boxing gloves on her left hand.
According to KVUE, Riddle was already wearing gloves when he arrived on campus. He claimed that it was so glued to his wrist that he could not remove his gloves.
According to officials, the girl suffered bruising on her knees and forearms. She was then taken to the hospital for follow-up evaluation.
Her parents told authorities that she wanted to file a criminal accusation against Riddle.
