On Thursday, an armed man barricaded his home in Pennsylvania, rang an explosion and ignited a fierce fire involving at least three buildings.
At 4 pm, police were still clashing with police and looking for an unidentified man who pointed his gun at law enforcement officers.
Firefighters were still working to put down a large fire while smoke was visible from miles away.
“Currently, we are trying to find an individual who may or may not be in a dwelling.
“There are a lot of police in the community,” he added.
“I want to ensure that the community is safe. They can go home safely and we will maintain a great presence.”
According to Jackson, law enforcement officers visited Eagleville’s home before 1 pm for inspection, and the homeowner fired a gun.
Law enforcement officers escaped unharmed and contacted police, the chief added.
“As soon as they arrived, they engaged a man in front of his residence and he returned inside,” Jackson said.
“After a very short time, many big explosions broke out the house.”
The fire spread to nearby homes as police evacuated the area. At least one person was slightly injured in the fire, according to Jackson.
