Dwayne’The Rock’Johnson Brings’Black Adam’ to San Diego Comic-Con

actor Dwayne Johnson Made an annual dramatic entrance Comic book Saturday’s pop culture convention. Hovering in a sleek superhero outfit on a smoke-filled stage, he promises that “the DC universe is never the same.”

Johnson previewed his next Warner Brothers movie, “Black Adam,” a story about a former slave who was inspired by DC Comics and was empowered to awaken in modern times 5000 years later.

His appearance gave off a flickering light intended to evoke lightning, which was distributed to more than 6,000 fans at the San Diego Convention Hall.

The actor, who plays the role of his first superhero, said he wanted to portray an antihero character for over a decade. The movie will debut at the cinema in October.

At his entrance to the Warner Bros. Comics Comic Panel, fans were immersed in Black Adam’s superpower, with flashing lights representing lightning.

“It’s been a long journey, supported by passion, dedication, and grit,” Johnson said.

Director Jaume Collet-Serra, who collaborated with Johnson in last year’s action adventure movie Jungle Cruise, described Black Adam as a “dirty harry-type character” with “his own sense of justice and death.”

“If the system is corrupted, we may need someone to break it down,” Collet-Serra said.

The film also features the Justice Society of America, including Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan).
