“Dear Evan Hansen” and “The Lion King” producer Steve Fickinger dies at age 62

Broadway producer Steve Fickinger has died on shows such as “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Newsies,” and “The Lion King.”

According to his niece Jessica Roy, a 62-year-old boy died suddenly on June 17 in Laguna Beach, California.

Fixinger worked on the development of six different Broadway shows during his career.

In addition, he worked for Walt Disney Studios for 20 years and was Vice President of Development.
