Brother accused of stabbing teenage sister in South Jamaica home, source says

South Jamaica, Queens (WABC) — A teenage boy has been accused of stabbing his teenage sister in his Queens home, sources say.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday on 111st and 156th Streets.
When officers arrived at the house, they found a 14-year-old girl with stab wounds to her arms, legs and face.
Authorities said the girl said her 13-year-old brother was responsible. She is admitted to a Jamaica hospital in critical condition but is in stable condition with her lungs collapsing.
The girl’s 13-year-old brother told authorities a different story. He called his 911 and he said there was a burglary.
Authorities said there was no robbery and the teenage boy was taken into custody.
The boy confessed to stabbing his sister while in custody, police said. Authorities say they searched the crime scene and found a knife in the kitchen.
The teen’s parents were not home when the stabbing occurred. Officials called his parents, but they did not come to the house to ask about the situation.
An eight-year-old boy was at home when his sister was stabbed.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the incident.
