Broadway Actor Alex Wiseman Sucker-Punch on the Subway-CBS New York

New York (CBSNewYork) – A Broadway actor was sucked into the subway with an apparently random attack and suffered eye injuries.

According to police, it happened at 2:30 pm on Tuesday at B station bound for 103 St. South.

“It happened so fast,” Wiseman told CBS2’s Dave Carlin.

He says he was hit twice in the head by a stranger when he got off the train and got off the platform.

“I was attacked after a couple of steps out of the car. I hit about two times and fell to the ground,” Wiseman said.

Wiseman is a member of the original cast Harry Potter and the cursed child.

After multiple surgeries for fractures, doctors are using a laser on the torn retina of his right eye.

“I’m an actor and I need a face, so we’re trying to avoid more invasive procedures,” Wiseman said.

Wiseman, who was so bloody that he could hardly move, managed to leave the station, return to the same train, and move to 96th Avenue in one station.

There, two women he didn’t know at first took care of him and warned the police. He praises them, the emergency medical staff, and his medical team.

“They are now working in really extreme situations, and they were all my heroes, and if I could take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate them, I would love,” he said. Told.

Wiseman vows to continue on the subway.

“I’m not going to scare the train for the rest of my life,” he said.

He also says the attacker wants to get the help he needs.

New York City Transit Authority Interim President Sarah Feinberg said Thursday that the city must do more to deal with people with mental illness on the ground and on the subway.

“It’s not fair to the people who use the system. It’s not fair to the women who have experienced this today. The city is in crisis and must be dealt with absolutely,” said Feinberg. .. “There is still a long way to go, so I am anxious to be handed over to this mayor and the next mayor.”
