Saving Our Daughters works to empower young girls with multicultural backgrounds by overcoming social barriers and introducing performing arts. Many of the girls in the “Saving Our Daughters” chapter in Los Angeles are interested in pursuing a career throughout the acting and entertainment industry. Chapter director Amen Oyiboke recognizes how influential young stars like Green and Custodio can spend time with aspiring actors.
“It’s very important that they look like them, talk like them, and see someone who can relate to them, and they’re very successful,” Oiboke said.
