On Thursday, police flocked to a Georgia shopping center and reported a shooting incident in which shoppers scrambled and blocked the store.
At least one person was injured at South Lake Mall in Morrow, a suburb of Atlanta, around 3 pm on the Fox line. Waga TV reported..
One witness said to a station outside the mall, “Like the fifteen young children, they have just begun to run.
“One of them has just started shooting inside the mall and the entire mall is just starting to disperse,” witnesses said. “We have begun to return to the store to ensure safety.”
According to witnesses, the turmoil began in the Macy’s department store at the mall and spread to the parking lot.
Clayton and Morrow police gathered at the mall following reports of the shooting, after which police blocked part of the parking lot with police tape.
Several ambulances and fire engines also rushed to the scene.
The station reported that one person was carried on a stretcher and placed in a waiting ambulance. No details were available regarding the degree of injury to the man.
