The development was part of Apple’s efforts to increase investment as the United States began rebuilding from the COVID-19 pandemic, the company said in a statement.
The North Carolina project represents a commitment to invest $ 430 billion, add a total of 20,000 new jobs and expand the team over the next five years. Colorado Massachusetts, Texas, Washington New York, California and other states, officials said.

The exact timeline for the project was not immediately shown.
Michael Haley, Executive Director of Wake County Economic Development, said: “This is an important milestone in strengthening our position as a technology hub. Apple’s decision to invest in the Triangle is a testament to the talent, resources, and overall quality of life of our community.”
