Anthony Davis is trying to sweat the Lakers a bit with an NBA free agent

Anthony Davis is reportedly planning to take some time before officially committing to the Lakers.

All-NBA Forward is fully expected to agree on a new deal with the team traded in June 2019, but a formal commitment will be made shortly after the free agent launches on Friday night. It is unlikely. Go to ESPN.com.

According to the report, Krutch Sports CEO and Davis agent Rich Paul will contact the Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka after 6 pm on Friday. However, the site reports that Davis plans to wait at least through Thanksgiving to weigh his options for the length and structure of the largest contract deals.

One possibility is that 27-year-old Davis could sign a three-year, $ 106 million contract with player options for the 2022-23 season. This is consistent with LeBron James’ contract. Paul is also James’s agent and Lakers’ free agent, Kentavious Caldwell Pope.

Davis, who came to Los Angeles almost seven years after Pelican, has the option of trading for two years or longer with options starting next year.

The first season of Davis and James ended in a championship, with the Lakers defeating the heat in six games within the NBA’s Orlando bubble.
