Amazon’s cloud service experiencing widespread outages

Amazon Web Services, Amazon’s widely used cloud service, is experiencing a major outage, the company said Wednesday.

The company also said it was affecting the ability to post updates to the service health dashboard.

“Kinesis is experiencing an increase in error rates in the US-East-1 region this morning, affecting other AWS services. We are working to resolve it,” said an AWS spokeswoman. Stated in a statement.

As part of the cloud service, Amazon Kinesis collects, processes, analyzes, and provides insights into real-time data.

According to a recent Twitter post, video streaming device maker Roku, Adobe’s Spark platform, video hosting website Flickr, and Baltimore Sun newspaper were affected by the outage.
