Amazon. com Inc. plans to add 125,000 employees across US warehousing operations in preparation for the holiday shopping period.
The company also said it plans to open 100 facilities nationwide in September on Tuesday to deepen the pool of places used for luggage storage, sorting and shipping. Amazon had a minimum wage of $ 15 an hour, but said that the minimum wage has risen in many places and is now averaging over $ 18 nationwide. For example, in some regions, Amazon said it offers wages of up to about $ 22.50 per hour.
